OKEECHOBEE, Fla. - Jan. 26, 2016 - PRLog -- D-Dey Response Group will present Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) for medical providers and first responders January 28 and 29 at the OK Corral Gun Club, 9449 Northeast 48th Street, Okeechobee.  TCCC is the most advanced and effective tactical medical course available.

The two-day, 16-hour continuing education course is designed for EMS providers, physicians, registered nurses, physician’s assistants and other medical professionals.  Tactical medical personnel; including SWAT medics, law enforcement, military, and fire fighters will also benefit.

The course introduces evidence-based Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) life-saving techniques and strategies for providing the best trauma care in an active shooter incident or on the battlefield.  TCCC meets the recommendations of the Hartford Consensus document and Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) guidelines. This is a nationally accredited curriculum and participants will receive 16 CEUs upon successful completion.

Saturday’s program is classroom-based.  The second day of training, held outdoors on the range, is considered to be physically intensive. Attendees should wear appropriate clothing and bring eye and hearing protection, helmet, tactical vest and equipment, including a duty weapon (if applicable) and 50 rounds.  Classes run from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
