By: Prismland Inc. The lovable characters in the innovative series are known as the PrismPals and aim to introduce young minds to 3D solids, geometry, and spatial awareness. Prismland consists of 5 plush toy characters: Cubert the Cube: Don’t let his appearance fool you. This goof is far from a square! He sure knows how to think outside the box, and his heart is always angled in the right place! Rhonda the Rhomboid: She’s a real tough cookie and knows a thing or two about sass. They say that diamonds are a Prism’s best friend, but with this rhomboid, you’ve gotta earn it! Once she warms up, she is a great teacher on all subjects relating to rhomboids and angles! Pyri the Pyramid: This Prismland prankster is best known for her great ‘Pyramid scheme’, the apex of her career. Hexter the Hexagonal Prism: The brainiac of Prismland! He loves math, science, and intellectual discussions about the Prismland bumblebee problem. They only seem to bother him, though, so he doesn’t go outside very much. Spherrison the Sphere: While not technically a prism, he rounds out the PrismPal collection as the most athletic member of the gang. He rolls with a sporty crew and is always ready to work on his game! Each plush toy comes with a character-specific booklet from the Hey! Prismland series, written and illustrated by Mayers and Chen. Using cute stories featuring the PrismPals to teach bite-sized lessons relating to math and geometry, the Prismland team hopes children will begin analyzing the 3D world around them before they reach those subjects in the classroom. The PrismPals are available for purchase at http://prismland.com and each individual character costs $29 CAD. For $139 CAD, you can purchase the Prismland Playset featuring all 5 PrismPals plus a collectible canvas carrying bag. Prismland currently ships anywhere in Canada (excluding Quebec). Free additional educational resources such as worksheets and activities are available to download at prismland.com/ A graduate of the Parsons School of Design and the Ontario College of Art and Design, Chen is the product and brand developer as well as the originator of the Prismland concept. Mayers, an engineering graduate of McGill University, is managing the business development and operations of Prismland. Prismland was brought to life after a successful Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign in which Mayers and Chen raised over $18,000 CAD to fund the educational toy company.
