Follow on Google News | Prismland – Opening The World Of 3-d Shapes To Curious Young MindsDon’t be a square – Join Kickstarter campaign to fund new toys for learning
By: Prismland Each character in the imaginative series will introduce children to 3-D shapes, geometry, and spatial awareness. And when we say characters, we mean characters: Cubert the Cube is far from a square! The goofy dude may have his head in the clouds, but he sure knows how to think outside the box and his heart is always angled in the right place. Hexter the Hexagon - The brains of Prismland, loves math, science, and intellectual discussions about the Prismland bumblebee problem. They only seem to bother him though. Rhonda the Rhombus - One may draw parallels between Rhonda and Cubert, but they couldn't be more different! Rhonda’s sassiness puts the "tude" in "Quadrilattitude." Spherrison the Sphere - His coach tells him to keep his eye on the ball which is easy to do because he has a full-diameter mirror. Pyri the Pyramid - The Prismland prankster is best known for her great ‘Pyramid scheme’, the apex of her career. Each plush toy will be accompanied by a full-colour, character-specific booklet from the Hey! Prismland series, written and illustrated by Mayers and Chen. Parents will enjoy using this series of humorous booklets to help their children explore the world of 3-D shapes. Each character’s properties and construction as well as real-life examples of their shapes are detailed in the booklets. Children can meet these guys on the Kickstarter campaign page (https://www.kickstarter.com/ A graduate of the Parsons School of Design and the Ontario College of Art and Design, Chen is the artistic director and creator of Prismland. Mayers, a recent engineering graduate of McGill University, is managing the business development of the brand. Kickstarter is an online crowdfunding platform requiring an “all-or-nothing” Upon completion of the crowdfunding campaign, the toys will be made available for sale at www.prismland.com for approximately $25 each. The estimated ship date is March, 2015.
