Sing Any Instrument Live on Stage with a Brand New Device: VC1- Vocal Converter

VC1- Vocal Converter is a new Voice Synthesizer and a Voice to MIDI converter built by audiodevel.com. Combining a throat microphone with an original computer algorithm, this new gadget solves several existing problems in the area of music creation.

Jan. 20, 2016 - PRLog -- audiodevel’s new VC1 - Vocal Converter is a voice to MIDI converter for musicians, DJs and everyone who loves to make music. It is a hand held device that transforms singing a melody into playing that melody with any possible sound. The Vocal Converter tracks only the voice regardless of the loudness of the environment, glitch free and in real time.

A pre-sales crowdfunding campaign is being prepared to bring VC1 – Vocal Converter to its users.    The campaign will soon start on one of the major international crowdfunding platforms. Everyone interested can follow audiodevel on their favourite social media site and subscribe to the newsletters at http://www.audiodevel.com.

A device like audiodevel’s Vocal Converter has been in the minds of engineers for 30 years, more or less. That's how old Guitar to MIDI converters are. But with the complex modulations the human voice can produce, the usual MIDI converter fails. Michael Kraft, the brain behind audiodevel.com, used Evolutionary Computing to solve that problem. After letting evolve thousands of algorithms, he found the way to tackle that "nonsense" and put it into context.

But there was still another question: how can the sound of a singing voice be separated from the sound of, for example, a drum-set playing loudly nearby? The normal microphone picks all the noises.

The answer took some time and research led to World War II: in 1936 the throat-microphone was invented. It was used for pilots to communicate while flying their extremely noisy aircraft. Today’s VC1- Vocal Converter is a much more peaceful application for the same type of mic.

Now, after more than 2 years of intensive work - researching, developing and testing – the Vocal Converter is ready for mass production and a pre-sales crowdfunding campaign will soon start.

audiodevel’s VC1 picks up all subtle variations of the voice to give the most complete control over its performance. Or it helps the singer, by smoothing pitch variations, intonation and dynamics, to give them a glossy and clean execution. All this in real time, with no audible latency. It can be used with its own sounds or be used to play any modern MIDI sound-device or MIDI software on the market.  In addition, VC1 – Vocal Converter comes with editing software that allows the singer to setup their own, unique and virtually endless libraries, and to exchange them freely over the net.

No matter if the musician is in a recording studio, live on stage or in a rehearsal room, VC1 works with uncompromising quality.
