The QUEST TRILOGY Rolling Forward!

LANSING, Mich. - Jan. 20, 2016 - PRLog -- CEO, head of production DJ Perry, is very happy with the development of their family/faith content.  “We’ve produced content for many genres but I think we’ve always loved period pieces. We were ahead of our time with successful faith films like “Figure in the Forest,” which can be seen on TBN, Parables TV and many networks catering to this content – The Quest Trilogy continues that tradition.”

The idea of the QUEST TRILOGY was to take lesser- known events from the bible and take them out of the realm of mythology and frame them in a way that the average person could relate to.  The plan was to have epic camera work and musical score pushing powerful performances and sharp, original script content.  Lightworx Distribution founder Randy Maricle, loved this approach. A three-picture deal was put into play before they rolled cameras on the first film “40 Nights” in Yuma, AZ.

The film “40 Nights” is about Jesus, and his trek into the desert to find himself and overcome the temptations of the Devil. That film is now complete and a series of event showings are planned before the film is released nationally in March/April 2016 to celebrate the Easter Passover season.   The development on the second film “Chasing the Star” is almost complete. The team will move into pre-production to shoot in Yuma, AZ and a few days in Michigan. The movie has been given a Christmas 2016 release.

The third film script entitled “The Christ Slayer,” is complete.  The scripts in the trilogy, were all written by DJ Perry.  A number of his scripts that have been produced, some even turned into books.   DJ cites powerful themes of sacrifice and self-discovery that runs throughout the trilogy.

These films will have something for everyone who watches them.  They are not just targeted at faith audiences or Christians. These films focus upon the core spirituality that has since evolved into the organized religions of today. The film doesn’t align with any one tradition but instead focuses on mankind as a whole. It challenges all people to adhere to basic teachings and be better people for it.
