| What is the Planet of Forbidden Music?By: POFMusic.net However, this report is what his Planet of Forbidden Music is all about; Shortly after 9/11, the stories and music from the Planet of Forbidden Music began playing in Wise’s mind. He envisioned a musically peaceful world suddenly being taken over by a fanatical cult, that feeds citizens to starving beasts, for singing, making music or even teaching a child to read. After 994 years of domination, a brilliant twelve year old boy, Groover Junior, who was born just beyond the ‘Pubistic Order’s’ interests, discovers the music and technologies of the advancing society the Order destroyed, hidden deep underground, directly underneath the Order’s massive temple headquarters. Junior eventually uses clever engineering tricks and a wagon load of dung, to sneak some of these things out, right under the pinched noses of the ‘Ontoppau’ The Ontoppaus also have all question asking (inquisitive) After Junior sees the truth, by suddenly fouling one of the Order’s kid snatchings, he sets out to dismantle them and bring the music and technologies of Free Escapadia, back to the browbeaten population of planet Pubis. The first POFMusic Opera project (starting this summer), actually takes place from about 1100 to 990 years before Groover Junior. It features six mentally, physically and musically gifted tribes of the peaceful Escapadian Forest, called the Sumphōnia people. The Sumphōnia eventually expel ‘Spat Ontoppau’ the first ‘Ontoppau’ The Sumphōnia made one huge mistake; because they had little use for it, and only they knew where the gold mine was, they let Spat leave with the largest hoard on Arroba. Seventy two years later, his gold comes back to haunt them. Spat’s great grandson, Pubistis Ontoppau, uses it to finance an army of mercenaries that suddenly, after years of planning, seize the Free Escapadian coast in one overwhelming attack. He immediately installs his repressive Pubistic Order, based on ‘monster beast’ (dinosaur) bones, to explain how the Escapadian’s Groove (the Force) put the Ontoppau family in charge of everything, forever. However, in the forest his mercenaries are sitting ducks for Sumphōnia hunters. These natives fly through their forest on a massive web of wind and water powered ropes. Imagine several thousand Tarzans flinging themselves around on a forest sized network of supercharged cables, traveling a dozen times faster than anyone below, while firing deadly darts with pinpoint accuracy. The Sumphōnia also explain many things from love to engineering advancements, musically. So Pubistis spends six more years forcing his enslaved coastal population to burn and cut down the forest, one small section at a time, while he has all of Coastal Escapadia’s advanced technologies, inventions and music, burned or buried, before erasing them from history. Nearly a thousand years later, after most of a hundred more ruthless Ontoppau abuse the masses, Junior combines Escapadia’s lost technologies with his inventiveness, plus a few powerful friends, to take on the enormous ‘Step Ontoppau’ and his hyper-narcissistic sons ‘Utakit’ and ‘Idman’, to bring the music (freedom) back! Young man Junior’s war against the Ontoppaus, or an extreme fantasy ‘battle of the bands’ for musical freedom, between Junior’s bands and the Heavy Blood Metal only monster, Rekcus the Beast’s groups, are the two very different tales for Wise’s last round of novel and pop opera projects, from his Planet of Forbidden Music. The program details are at POFMusic.net. End
