Zilico appoints new Commercial Director

GREATER MANCHESTER, U.K. - Jan. 13, 2016 - PRLog -- Zilico Ltd has strengthened its team with the appointment of a new Commercial Director.

Andrew Saipe, who has 25 years’ experience in medical sales, joins Zilico from Purple Surgical, where he looked after many of the International markets for eight years. Prior to this, Andrew was a sales manager with Medtronic (Covdien) for five years.

His role at Purple Surgical covered markets throughout Europe and across the world in addition to being the head of product training at the company.

Mr Saipe’s new position at Zilico will see him manage and develop commercial relationships with the company’s distributor network, whilst also assessing new potential markets for Zilico’s flagship product, ZedScan™.

ZedScan is a cervical cancer diagnostic system which utilises patented Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) technology to improve the ability to detect cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) following an abnormal smear result, increasing diagnostic accuracy and delivering health economic benefits.

Mr Saipe said: “With the growing real-clinic evidence of the benefits of ZedScan in the cervical cancer care pathway, this is a very exciting time to be joining the company.
