South Shore Chamber of Commerce announces formation of Old Colony Business Council

ROCKLAND, Mass. - Jan. 7, 2016 - PRLog -- The South Shore Chamber of Commerce (www.southshorechamber.org), the region’s largest Chamber is pleased to announce formation of the Old Colony Business Council, comprised of twelve towns within the southwesterly region of the South Shore.

The new Business Council will provide increased representation to South Shore Chamber members in the following communities:  Holbrook; Whitman;Hanson;Kingston;Duxbury; Pembroke; Plymouth; Carver; Avon; Plympton; Halifax; and Abington.

The South Shore Chamber and leaders of the newly formed Old Colony Business Council will work closely with the business leaders within the twelve member towns to build relationships, connect business, political, town government and other leaders in a continuing effort to positively impact the communities served.  The Old Colony Business Council will meet once a quarter.  Meetings will be open to the public and will often spotlight a local town official, politician or business leader in an educational setting, at a member business, hosted by a member.

“The year 2016 promises to be dynamic for South Shore communities,” said Laurel Egan Kenny, Chief Operating Officer of the South Shore Chamber of Commerce, noting that the Chamber is actively seeking business leaders to participate in the Old Colony Business Council.  “This new initiative is just one of several that the Chamber will announce as the year progresses; it is an exciting time for the Chamber and its entire membership.”
