Taleas of Total Failure Told Live

A raw and intimate evening showcasing personal stories of failure.

ATLANTA - Jan. 7, 2016 - PRLog -- ATLANTA, GA – Failure:Lab, an international movement showcasing personal stories of failure, will make its Atlanta debut on Thursday, February 18, at the Georgia Institute of Technology’s Ferst Center for the Arts. The one-of-a-kind format will feature a diverse blend of storytelling, music, theatre and audience interaction.

Failure:Lab was created to foster candid conversation about failure and the often-harsh consequences that follow. Instead of sharing lessons or recycled mantras about overcoming adversity, speakers will bluntly present their darkest hours with confidence, with the introspection left up to the audience. Through vulnerability and honesty,

Failure:Lab works to remove the stigma of failure and move towards community and conversation. “Don’t let the name fool you—while the stories may be about failure, the event is really about courage, determination and the strength to get back up,” says Failure:Lab cofounder Jordan O’Neil.

The following storytellers will share at Failure:Lab | Atlanta:

• Amir Farokhi, Director of Strategy, BrightHouse

• Steven Carse, CEO, King of Pops

• Brownell Landrum, Founder, DrawSuccess

• Chris Hill, Chef, Author and Entrepeneur

“We’re excited to bring Failure:Lab to Atlanta” says Mike Mudrey, producer of the event. “Atlanta has become a hub of activity for startups, restaurants, entertainment and is the home of many large corporations. The success of these industries is usually built on many untold stories of failure, and we want to be part of the sharing of those stories and inspiring others to future success.”

Failure:Lab was founded in 2012 in Grand Rapids, Michigan as a way to share insights on failure while encouraging responsible risk taking. The success of each event hinges on audience engagement during and after the event through live, organic conversation, as well as online via social media. During the musical breaks, audience members will have time to reflect and share their thoughts with others in the audience and via Twitter with the hashtag #FailureLab.

“It’s counterintuitive, countercultural, and incredibly cathartic. You will fail, but the real question is, how will you respond?” says Jonathan Williams, cofounder.

Failure:Lab | Atlanta will take place at 7:00 p.m. on February 18 at the Ferst Center for the Arts, 349 Ferst Dr NW on the campus of Georgia Tech.

Tickets are $25 each and are available online at http://failure-lab.com/events/atlanta-2016/
