Complimentary, first app for anonymously giving and receiving compliments, launches on IOS App Store

STANFORD, Calif. - Dec. 26, 2015 - PRLog -- Complimentary, the first app for anonymously giving and receiving compliments, is now on the IOS App Store. Complimentary aims to make the world kinder by encouraging the simple act of giving compliments, making kindness addicting.

You can download Complimentary at or visit to learn more.

Users can easily send compliments to anyone in their Facebook friends list, receive compliments from their Facebook friends, and view and interact with compliments being sent near their current locations.

Complimentary was created by Steve Rathje, a student at Stanford University, and William Rathje, a student at Oxford University and a Rhodes Scholar. Steve and William received funding from Facebook Start to support the creation of this app.

Complimentary recently went through a beta test in which users sent thousands of compliments and described the app as "adorable," "a brilliant idea," "something to share with my friends -- and my kids -- and my office,"and "a breath of fresh air." It's left people asking, "why hasn't anyone thought of this before?"

In a world where social media is constantly making us feel bad about ourselves, Complimentary aims to make us feel good and empower us to make others feel good.
