As Trakopolis was primarily coded in Microsoft technologies, the Microsoft Azure cloud was selected. I2E began by moving some smaller, peripheral services to the cloud. This allowed CAN Telematics to gain confidence in cloud technologies without risking their core application. After gaining confidence in Azure’s performance and reliability, I2E was asked to propose an architecture and a plan to move the full Trakopolis application into the cloud. I2E lead a team of overseas developers, and in 2013 Trakopolis was migrated into the Azure cloud. Increased load has resulted in a close working relationship with Microsoft technical resources to develop a new infrastructure to support the data and processing loads.
