Yakima represents yet another former Interlocking customer to convert to SMARTGov. Paladin has implement its cloud-based technology in Yakima to track all aspects of zoning and codes, including permit issuance, inspections, code enforcement, and will implement its public portal for self-service public access. “When we were given the opportunity to switch from the ILS system to SMARTGov we did not hesitate to consider upgrading to this newer system,” said Yakima Supervising Senior Analyst Corinne Choy. “Our prior conversion with Paladin was seamless, therefore we had every confidence we could achieve the same level of success again.” She continued: “We began our conversion process in July 2015 and met the target go-live of October 26, 2015. To have such a short period of time to complete data migration, configuration and testing speaks volumes for the efforts of both city and Paladin staff.” As previously noted, Yakima will deploy SMARTGov’s online public portal (http://smartgovcommunity.com/ Yakima is located about 60 miles southeast of Mount Rainier in Washington state.
