Meridian IT Australia Launches Charity Auction at End of Year Event

Clients The Junction Works and Woodville Alliance worthy recipients of fundraising donations

Dec. 15, 2015 - PRLog -- Meridian IT Australia, a leading IT and Managed Services Partner, announced it would hold its first Charity Auction at the company’s end of year employee and client event. All auction proceeds will support Meridian IT clients The Junction Works (http://www.thejunctionworks.org/) and Woodville Alliance (http://www.woodville.org.au/) and their work helping disadvantaged members of the community.

“Our employees are increasingly interested in charitable giving and thoroughly enjoy working with our Not-for-Profit (NFP) clients,” said Stephen White, Meridian IT Australia country manager. “The festive season is the perfect time to show appreciation for all our clients and to thank organisations such as The Junction Works and Woodville Alliance for all they do for our local communities.”

Auction items have been donated by Meridian IT’s vendor partner community and the auction, held on the evening of December 2, will attract more than 80 bidders. IT veteran and longstanding partner, Phil Cameron of Westcon, will facilitate the auction expected to raise thousands of dollars for the worthy charities and Meridian IT clients.

“We greatly appreciate Meridian IT’s long-term support of our fundraising efforts,” said Chris Campbell, CEO of The Junction Works. “The Junction Works’ current fundraising goal is to build a Living Skills and Respite House for young adults with a disability and their families. The Living Skills and Respite House is designed to support young people with disabilities to overcome their individual challenges, and move into more independent living arrangements. It will also provide respite opportunities from the constancy of care experienced by parents and carers.”

The Junction Works has engaged the services of Meridian IT for all its technology needs since 2011, including playing an important role in supporting its expansion of services to support more children and adults living with a disability in south-west Sydney. Similarly, Woodville Alliance enjoys an established and ongoing partnership with Meridian IT as it works toward providing happier and healthier lives for those members of the community who are homeless, have disabilities, mental health worries or isolation.

“Over the past year Meridian IT has provided innovative, solution-focused and responsive IT support to assist us in the achievement of our business mission,” said Christine Drimal, manager systems and process for Woodville Alliance. “Meridian IT has made our business needs their priority. It’s a true partnership, further demonstrated by the charity auction and the benefits the donation will deliver to the communities we serve.”

Meridian IT offers tailored discounted services for NFP clients including discounted managed services and free Strategic Road-mapping Workshops held over two days and designed to determine how IT can enable the organisations to better meet their goals and serve their communities.

“Meridian IT will continue to look for ways to serve our Not-for-Profit clients with both innovative solutions and services for their businesses, and creative fundraising activities,” White concluded.
