MERTON, U.K. - Dec. 12, 2015 - PRLog -- The Word Masala project is a Not-for-Profit Project, a social enterprise, supported in principle by Lord Dholakia and Lord Parekh as its patrons. Its focus is on helping the South-Asian Diasporic and expat authors and poets. With that in mind, after the first printed volume of Word Masala in 2011 and publishing monthly FREE ezines during 2015, this new anthology features Word Masala award-winning poets presented during the year as Poet-of-the-Month. The volume celebrates two festivals, but sadly includes tributary poems to remember the victims of Paris Massacre. As Yogesh Patel sums up in his poem as an editorial tribute:

Crow* stood victorious!

The free tea from a café
was warmer than the sun
as it defied camouflaged robots
blind to Asimov’s third law

Reginald Massey writes in Confluence:

'Yogesh Patel is a polymath. But he is essentially a poet who actively promotes other poets from the South Asian diaspora. His latest publication Word Masala Award Winners 2015 (Skylark Publications, London and New York. ISBN 978-0-9560840-3-3) is an anthology representing the work of Debjani Chatterjee, Daljit Nagra, Meena Alexander, Saleem Peeradina, Shanta Acharya, Usha Akella, Usha Kishore, Sweta Vikram and me. Patel's poem The Poor People of Paris (about the recent Paris massacre) should be sent to the President of France.'
