By: The Arc Volusia “We have put together a ‘dream team’ of board members,” said David James, CEO, The Arc Volusia. “I feel blessed that each and every one of our board has a passion for helping our clients and assisting their families in continuing to find the proper care and assistance they may need,” he added. There are a total of 16 board members, and each term is a three-year term. The Arc's community impact focuses in four areas- education, employment, health and basic needs. The Arc Volusia is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am until 4:00pm. Fifty three years later, the Arc continues to lead the way in promoting awareness of the strengths and achievements of Americans with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), We currently serve 230 adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities – helping them develop life skills, increase their independence, and creating opportunities for them to earn a paycheck.
