Sweet Dreamzzz, Inc. named Michigan's $20,000 winner in Tom's of Maine '50 States for Good' campaign

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. - Dec. 7, 2015 - PRLog -- Back in August, Sweet Dreamzzz™supporters tweeted messages with #OneWayToHelp Sweet Dreamzzz, to enter the organization into Michigan’s pool in the Tom’s of Maine 50 States for Good Community Giving Program. Supporters of the organization could post once per day for a month describing what they would do to help the organization carry out its mission, in order to give Sweet Dreamzzz its best shot at a $20,000 prize. A tweet was pulled from the pool of every state and Washington, D.C., and one lucky winner from each was able to give the charity of their choice these funds. Michigan’s winning tweet came from…

Louise Derry! A tried and true Sweet Dreamzzz supporter who believes in the cause and the mission of Sweet Dreamzzz from the bottom of her heart and continues to support the organization in its endeavors to serve as many at-risk children and families with sleep education as possible.

Funding from Tom’s of Maine will help purchase curriculum and training materials, presentation materials, take-home tools and bedtime essentials for participating schools and families. These funds will also support website and packaging updates to expand program outreach in the most effective and efficient manner.

Sweet Dreamzzz Executive Director, Nancy Maxwell, is thrilled the organization has been chosen as Michigan’s winner for the second year in a row.

“We greatly appreciate the support from Tom’s of Maine,” Maxwell said. “This award has huge impact on Sweet Dreamzzz and allows us to help the children we serve meet the most basic of needs: a good night’s sleep. If we can educate children and their families at an early stage of development, children are more likely to have a healthy sleep routine through grade school and beyond.”
