Elizabeth J. Bivins Culinary Center Announces New Catering Company: NINETEEN49 Catering

Nov. 23, 2015 - PRLog -- Elizabeth J. Bivins Culinary Center is proud to announce the launch of a new catering company, NINETEEN49 Catering. NINETEEN49 Catering, led by award-winning Chef Rocky Dunnam, focuses on creating healthier menus and serving delicious food to the Amarillo community.

“Our proximity to the medical district and our Bivins Foundation background got us thinking — why not provide amazing, delicious and healthy catering,” said Matt Foxworthy, General Manager. “NINETEEN49 Catering views our food as a promise to you. The culinary team is committed to serving menu items that not only taste good, but are also healthier than you would find at other local catering companies.”

The name “NINETEEN49 Catering” represents the year Mary Bivins first launched the Bivins Foundation (in 1949).  The new name, website and menus are all a reflection of the foundation’s commitment to improving and enriching the quality of life in the Texas Panhandle’s 26 counties.

“Our team is passionate about helping others and about healthy eating options. When you put these two things together in a 150,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art culinary facility, you have a fantastic group that is not only focused on all of the right things, but that is also truly able to handle your requests and provide you with a really amazing catering experience,” said Executive Chef Rocky Dunnam.

The team at NINETEEN49 Catering is now ready to assist the Amarillo community with weddings, rehearsals, social events, corporate functions, meetings and more.
