DocuCollab Receives The Next Web Boost Startup of the Year Award

After going through several rounds of intense competition amongst startups from around the world The Next Web team selected DocuCollab as winner for its Boost competition

TYSONS CORNER, Va. - Nov. 20, 2015 - PRLog -- DocuCollab (visit https://docucollab.com for details), a modern document collaboration platform, today announced that it has received  The Next Web Boost Startup of the Year Award. DocuCollab received this award at the annual The Next Web conference in New York City. DocuCollab takes home $20000 as the prize money.

“We are honored to receive the TNW Boost Best Startup award and thrilled that esteemed judges recognized DocuCollab's potential to disrupt and define the future of collaboration and impact the next web," said DocuCollab Co-founder & CEO Rajeev Kumar. "At DocuCollab, we will continue our mission to empower businesses, eliminate frustrating, risk-prone and wasteful manual document collaboration activities with our micro-collaboration platform.”

TNW based its award on the fact that in a relatively crowded space with Google Docs, Office Online, and now Dropbox, DocuCollab differentiates itself thanks to the level of access control it provides. Most notably, permission can be set down to individual paragraphs for team members, while team leaders have access to the full shebang. Members will only be able to work on their assigned sections, helping them focus on their task rather than adding to a chaos of collaborators, and every edit is logged into the system. DocuCollab also has robust ‘enterprise-level’ security framework.

“We are honored to be able to share stage with such amazing startups and so humbled to have won the award,” said DocuCollab's Co-founder, Rakesh Gupta. “Its been incredible seeing the excitement about our product in people.”

TNW noted that DocuCollab's features make this system particularly useful for teams working on single documents, such as law firms, and there’s only ever one version of each document.

“I am thrilled about the news of this award," said Sachin Sinha, co-founder of DocuCollab. "I am excited to see that we continue to innovate to disrupt an industry worth $20 billion. Collaboration around document is so natural and I am glad that we are able to bring this exciting technology to a user base that has been clamoring for this for so long.”

DocuCollab is open in limited preview beta and users can sign-up at https://docucollab.com
