Santa Fe Christian Schools Teams Up With Dr. Chan to Send Almost Four Tons of Candy to Troops

SOLANA BEACH, Calif. - Nov. 10, 2015 - PRLog -- Santa Fe Christian’s (SFC) Lower and Middle School students are still smiling after donating their Halloween Candy. Partnering with Dr. Curtis Chan, a dentist in Del Mar, SFC helped to make his 7^th annual Great Halloween Candy Give Back a success. SFC collected over half a ton (1,212lbs) of candy and 719 written notes of encouragement to US troops. The candy donated is used in care packages and sent to troops serving overseas during this holiday season through a non-profit organization who seeks to lift spirits and meet the evolving needs of our Active Duty and Veteran communities.

The donations provide an opportunity for the young students to give of themselves. Grace, a SFC Middle School student says “It makes me feel great to help support our US troops that protect us and fight for our freedoms.”
