Follow on Google News | 100 Academy Hosts Mural Completion Project November 7thBy: 100 Academy of Excellence Artist Adolfo Gonzales and his daughter Cheyenne have graciously prepared and outlined the mural design. The 100 Academy of Excellence is looking for help to get it done. No painting experience is required for volunteers. “The 100 Black Men of America, Inc. members are delighted to collaborate with fellow stakeholders of the 100 Academy of Excellence next Saturday, November 7th,” said Joe Jones, President of the Las Vegas chapter of The 100 Black Men of America, Inc. “Together, we will paint a beautiful mural on the building symbolic of our community engagement and celebrate educational excellence.” The 100 Academy of Excellence was established in 2006 and they are still creating legacies that set them apart in the larger community of charter schools. They strive to create a positive and safe learning environment where all students can obtain knowledge and practice being productive, life-time learners and concerned citizens. They stress education and academics which is woven together with their shared values. Their students practice what they learn in a plethora of extended day activities such as Mathematics, the National Honor Society, Paper Bag Princess, World Cultures, Robotics, Young Engineers, Spanish, and the Breakfast Book Club just to name a few.
