Follow on Google News | New Audio Drama in the spirit of Lone Ranger and Roy RogersFollowing in the vein of popular dramas like Adventures in Odyssey, Jonathan Park and Heirloom Audio, new audio drama from Creation Adventure Family provides a movie for the mind.
By: Creation Adventure Family Three new half hour episodes tell the story of Big Sam, a robbing outlaw and his gang. One stormy night they rob a town bank, with a posse hot on their heels. Needing a place to hide, they take a family hostage, a mysterious family known as The Wayfaring Strangers. It’s a classic story where the good guys are good and the bad guys are bad. Every effort has been made to mirror the old west as we know it. Yet the story was inspired by a song. The audio drama also features the talents of Buddy Davis, a singer with many albums to his credit. It was his song Big Sam that inspired the story. “Big Sam is a ballad about a bad-man who comes to a small country church.” Duane Riffenburgh says. “As the church watches in surprise, this bad man starts an new life following Jesus Christ.” The Riffenburghs had loved the song for years and then hit upon the idea of making an audio drama with the backstory behind the song. “When we presented the idea to Buddy he was very generous and supportive.” The Old West themed audio drama is full of exciting sounds and some well timed laughs. The Riffenbughs have had plenty of experience in audio drama after nine years working on the highly acclaimed Jonathan Park series. “We hope the story will inspire families and bring people closer to each other and to God” Andrew says. “Along the way we think they’ll have plenty of fun” More information on the audio drama can be found at www.creationadventurefamily.com End
