| CAMACOL Hosts Business Development Trade Mission to PanamaBy: CAMACOL The trade mission included two full days of networking sessions, seminars on conducting business in Panama and a one-on-one meetings with Panamanian officials. Participants also met with government officials, including the Vice Minister of Commerce, Diana Salazar, and national Chamber presidents. “This trip was one of the most successful business development missions CAMACOL has ever had,” said Nelson Tarke, president of CAMACOL. “With a total of 68 meetings held between Panamanian businesses and participants, there are sure to be deals made that positively impact the local economy.” During the mission, the Panamanian and Bolivian Chambers of Commerce presented CAMACOL with several recognitions for its 50 years of service to the international and local community. The chambers also discussed the four topics that will be covered during the next Congress event: international tourism, remittance, Trans-Pacific and Trans-Atlantic trade agreements and innovation. CAMACOL is the largest Hispanic business organization in the State of Florida and one of the most influential minority business groups in the United States. CAMACOL’s mission is to foster the entrepreneurial spirit of Florida’s Hispanic and minority communities, and as such, it conducts programs to strengthen local business activity, promote economic development, facilitate international commerce, and serve the civic needs of the community and state.
