Horbal has a BA in Biological Basis of Behavior, cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania College of Arts and Sciences. She is pursuing her Diploma from the European College of Veterinary Dentistry in the Equine Specialty. Horbal has her Doctorate from University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. Horbal continues to conduct important research into the development of equine cheek teeth infundibulae, blood supply to the structures of the teeth during development, and maintenance of the vascular structures following eruption.
