Shutts & Bowen’s Alexander Tachmes joins Executive Committee of Performing Arts Trust Board

Volunteer group of community leaders oversees management of Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County

MIAMI - Oct. 9, 2015 - PRLog -- Alexander I. Tachmes, a partner in Shutts & Bowen’s Real Estate Practice Group in Miami, has been appointed to the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the Performing Arts Center Trust, the volunteer group of community leaders that oversees the management of Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County.

A member of the Trust’s board of directors since 2013, Mr. Tachmes also serves on the Trust’s Management Committee.

Mr. Tachmes concentrates his practice in the areas of governmental matters, including land use and zoning, competitive bidding and lobbying, commercial transactions including real estate, and matters pertaining to the hospitality industry.

A former First City Attorney for Miami Beach, Mr. Tachmes has an active roster of hospitality clients ranging from major publicly-traded firms to boutique hotel companies.

He has spoken at multiple hospitality industry panels and is a published author.

In addition to his work with the Performing Arts Center Trust, Mr. Tachmes is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Miami City Ballet, where he formerly served as vice chairman and member of the Executive Committee, and a member of the Board of Directors of Jewish Community Services of South Florida. He is a Governor Emeritus of the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce, where he chaired the Government Services Committee, and is a Founder of Mount Sinai Medical Center.
