Medical Science Liaison Society to Launch First-of-Its-Kind Journal

CARY, N.C. - Sept. 30, 2015 - PRLog -- The Medical Science Liaison Society (MSL Society) is proud to announce that it will be debuting The MSL – the only scientific journal of its kind to target those in the global MSL profession. The unveiling of the publication will coincide with the society's third annual conference being held in Boston – September 29 to October 1, 2015 – giving conference attendees a first look at the publication.

"As the world’s first and only non-profit organization dedicated to medical science liaisons, we're excited to have this opportunity to provide our community with an outlet for scientific expression," said MSL Society Board Chairman, Dr. Samuel Dyer. “This unique publication will, no doubt, help further our cause to advance the MSL role for the ultimate purpose of improving quality of care for patients worldwide."

Named as Editor-in-Chief of the journal is Vice President Clinical Affairs for PDI Inc., Hudson Garrett, PhD, MSN, MPH, FNP-BC, CSRN, PLNC, CDONA, FACDONA, VA-BC. "It's such an honor to serve this great organization in multiple capacities," said Garrett who is also a member of the MSL Society’s global advisory committee. "This journal offers MSLs with a peer reviewed, global platform to discuss all they do in their commitment to progressing science and enhancing patient care. I'm truly thrilled to be part of its launch."

The MSL will be available in both print and digital formats and has already received its official ISSN number from the US Library of Congress. Perennial supporter of the MSL Society and leading provider of strategic services to life sciences medical affairs divisions, Thought Leader Select, will serve as the chief sponsor of the inaugural issue.
