STW Launches Hybrid Battery Management System in the US

NORCROSS, Ga. - Sept. 23, 2015 - PRLog -- STW Technic, a premier manufacturer of mobile controllers and measurement technology, today announced the launch of the mBMS battery management system for off highway hybrid vehicles in the US market. With electrical vehicles moving towards mainstream adoption on the highway, the off highway market is set to grow and STW’s hybrid technology is ideally suited for the harsh off highway ambient challenges.

Lithium-ion batteries are the preferred energy storage system for modern electrical drive systems. The battery management system mBMS is perfectly adapted to the drives in the powerMELA product family. It permits the safe operation of the battery system and supports battery voltages of up to 800 volts and currents of up to 600 amps.

The mBMS system can be used for Diesel-electric hybrid drive vehicles (HEV), Battery-powered electric travel drive vehicles (BEV) and storage power plants.
