Follow on Google News | Dialogue with Three Chords continues “The Major Arcana” with monarchs, clergy, and lovers 9/24Brooklyn College BFA Acting program undergrads are again paired with seasoned D3C actors, continuing last year’s partnership.
By: Dialogue with Three Chords “‘The Lovers/The Empress/ The Emperor/The Hierophant’ sequence of plays focuses on transformations, unifications, and new beginnings,” This is the second time D3C has presented a serialized play. “As with our previous serialized drama, ‘Shipyard Souls & A Compass Rose’, each night of ‘The Major Arcana’ exists as a complete story that can be enjoyed completely out of context,” said Gracia, adding: “if you see it all, you get the full story.” Gracia further explained that this second installment in “The Major Arcana or The Fool’s Journey” includes four new plays “exploring love at first sight, radical pamphleteering, theosophy, imaginary countries, and the most famous secret religion of ancient Greece.” Riot-grrl country punk band Dolltits will perform interstitially following their NYC debut and describe their music as “what results when you combine elements of riot grrl emotion, feminism, country and good old-fashioned awesomeness.” The Brooklyn College BFA Acting program offers intensive courses in Stanislavsky- “The Lovers/The Empress/ The Emperor/The Hierophant’” features: Jessica Bathurst, Ally Callaghan, Larry Greenbush, Anthony Marino, Edie Nugent, and Steve Weinblatt.
