NEW YORK - Sept. 15, 2015 - PRLog -- NEW YORK, NEW YORK: The Arthena team is excited to announce the new appointment of Cornell DeWitt to the Arthena Advisory Board. DeWitt is the former director of PULSE Contemporary Art Fair in Miami and New York and VP of Business Development at Artnet. DeWitt is a long­time forerunner in the Contemporary Art space and has been connecting audiences to artists and their work for over 20 years.

His depth of experience in the Art & Tech space began with co­founding one of the first online art galleries in 1995, and he has since owned and operated an eponymous gallery in New York, acted as director of a major international gallery, curated exhibitions, advised private collectors, and dealt in the primary and secondary markets. He graduated from New York University with a master’s degree, where he has also served as faculty. Between 2010 and 2013, DeWitt was the director of PULSE Contemporary Art Fair in Miami and New York. As Vice President of Business Development at Artnet, DeWitt developed the company’s unparalleled market reach and knowledge and improved its performance for its clients and partners.

This partnership with Arthena to reach an even wider audience within the art world and will help the company foster connections to the art world’s many players, including artists, art advisors, gallery and museum directors, and countless others. Drawing on DeWitt’s art market and Art & Tech expertise, the company will seek to further develop and improve its outreach to the art and technology communities as it draws new investors into the fold.

This marks the next step for Arthena in pursuing its goal of reaching out to the many members of the art community.
