Author Seth M. Siegel to Speak at the Oshman Family JCC in Palo Alto

PALO ALTO, Calif. - Sept. 11, 2015 - PRLog -- Who: Seth M. Siegel, businessman, activist and writer whose essays have appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times and other publications around the world on business, political and cultural issues. Siegel is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Moderated by Lisa Krieger, Science and Medicine Reporter for the San Jose Mercury News.

What: Discussion of Siegel’s book Let There Be Water: Israel's Solution for a Water-Starved World  illustrates how Israel can serve as a model for the US and countries everywhere. Presented in partnership with the Commonwealth Club.

When: Monday, October 19 | 7:00 PM

Where: Oshman Family JCC | 3921 Fabian Way | Palo Alto, CA 94303 | Schultz Cultural Arts Hall

Why: Even with sixty percent of its country a desert, not only doesn't Israel have a water problem; it has an abundance of water. Israel even supplies water every day to its neighbors the Palestinians and the Kingdom of Jordan.

Remarkably, not long ago, now-hostile Iran relied on Israel to manage its water systems, and access to Israel's water know-how helped to warm China's frosty relations with Israel. Every town, every country, and every reader can benefit from learning what Israel did in order to transform itself from a parched land into a water superpower.

Tickets: $20 General Public | $8 Students | $12 Members and J-Pass holders. Available at www.paloaltojcc.org/siegel.
