Leveraging from his experiences in college and his familiarity with the location, Manish pens down this coming-of-age tale of Siddhartha. Young Siddhartha enters college at IIT-BHU with stars in his eyes. He's all set to enjoy a grand journey in college as a happy-go-lucky student, but a sense of restlessness grips him. Through pranks, love, fun, studies, bunking classes and attending them, and finding ways to make the most out of hostel life, Siddhartha chances upon a slew of events.

He sets himself on a path where he evolves and learns more from life than his textbooks.  Somehow this path leads him right up to a Swami's doorstep. The Swami begins to give him lessons.

Do these lessons change his life? Are they valuable?  Is there a love interest? What happens?

The book offers a transcendental journey to one of the premium University in India and sprinkles doses of flavor of Varanasi’s ethnicity and uniqueness throughout. FOSIL is a book about love, youth, life, life’s lessons, mistakes, wisdom, new experiences and challenges. It is a book about an Indian student’s journey in college, his adventure and a blast from the writer’s past. This book is meant to touch every reader’s heart, it is meant to sway every reader’s mind and make each reader think deeper within and understand his ‘powerful’ self.

Like ancient fossils, FOSIL is a reminder of ancient wisdom, philosophies and their relevance in the ‘modern’ world. It makes us all think about life, and provides us the means and tools to live it fully.
