MEDFORD, Ore. - Sept. 8, 2015 - PRLog -- Back-to-school shopping is serious business. From binders to backpacks, USB drives to digital devices; it’s expensive to equip your child for school. The National Retail Federation projects that parents with children in kindergarten through 12th grade will spend about $630 per child this fall.  According to the Huntington Bank Backpack Index, a backpack filled with school supplies (including a calculator) for middle-school students will alone set parents back about $300. Figure another $300 for clothes and shoes, and you see how easily back-to-school shopping taps out the bank account.  Sadly, 80 percent of those had-to-have sports equipment, clothes, shoes, school supplies, lunch boxes and book bags will eventually be lost. And, if not misplaced, clothes and shoes will certainly be out-grown before spring.  With those odds, it’s important for you to spend wisely, while securing and protecting your hefty investment.

LoopRope is a clever tie-down system with a multitude of uses. Flexible and functional, it’s great for lashing down football gear and band instruments.  For car-pooling parents, LoopRope can convert into a great space-saving carrier for the SUV – perfect to shuttle all those backpacks, duffle bags, sports gear, musical instruments, cheer gear and various sundry items students cart to and from school.

LoopRope is a five-foot long rope with a series of loops crimped at intervals down the length of the rope. Each loop serves as another fastening point utilizing double- gated stainless steel carabiners.  Just loop the end around a fixed tie point and pull the entire rope through the first loop. Choose any loop to hold corners, edges or handles to add the right amount of tension. Then clip the other end to a fixed point. One three- or five-foot fastening system gives you 10 custom tie-down lengths with more than 18 attachment points. One rope can be used to tie down multiple items, or two ropes together create a custom cargo net.

LoopRope's price tag is higher than rubber bungee cords or run-of-the-mill rope. But, you get what you pay for...right? And, other tie-downs might be on par as far as price goes, but probably won’t score with your child or your teen.

Here are five reasons why thrifty back-to-school shoppers will want to add the cinch-to-use LoopRope to their school supply list:

1. Bungee cords at less than half the price are double the trouble. Snap, crackle and pop goes the knuckle-breaking bungee. Or, worse yet, your child is slapped in the face. LoopRope was created with the user in mind. Your child won’t put out his eye.

2. Rubber tie-downs are even less expensive than bungee cords, but unreliable. They give new meaning to “slip knot.” You’ll never twist and shout with LoopRope.

3. Rope is cheap at under $1 a foot, but overly complicated to use by students (and their parents) who don’t know the difference between a Bimini twist and a bowline, or a Siberian hitch and a surgeon’s loop. In the end, LoopRope will not have you all tied up in knots.

4. Buckle tie-downs are not as easy as “one, two, buckle my shoe.” LoopRope is as simple as A, B, C. All it takes is three simple steps.   You simply loop, clip and go!

5. Ratchet tie-downs are a bit of an  overkill – in more ways than one. These metal snappers can take a bite out of your fingers and thumbs. To those who are all thumbs: LoopRope lets you keep your thumbs intact.  (And, besides, your child is tying his load down on a bike, not a semi-truck.)

LoopRope has other features such as the carbiner LoopClips are perfect for hanging keys on belt loops, and the shorter cords for strapping a jacket to a backpack. Your student will no longer have an excuse for a lost house key or jacket. And, unlike those expensive new school shoes, LoopRope is a perfect fit the entire school year.
