WILMETTE, Ill. - Sept. 2, 2015 - PRLog -- As part of its mission to ignite student’s artistic passion in theatre arts and prepare them to meet industry expectations, Actors Training Center (ATC), in residence at the Wilmette Theatre, announces their exciting new slate of fall classes for students of all ages and levels of experience. Beginning October 3, the school will offer more than 25 dynamic theatre arts classes and workshops for students in K-12th grade, with special offerings for tots and adults. Registration is now open:

“We pride ourselves on being the go-to acting school on the North Shore and we work hard each semester to live up to that reputation,” said Carole Dibo, Artistic Director, ATC. “To that end, we are continuously tweaking and fine tuning our curriculum so that we can meet the needs of anyone interested in taking acting classes, as well as ensuring that our continuing students are mastering the skills they need to perfect their craft.”

ATC’s fall session includes a variety of classes where youngsters, youth, teens, and adults can explore and expand their creative potential and acquire valuable training. These classes will include teachings on storytelling, developing characters, music and movement, improvisation, auditioning, working with the camera, scene work, vocal awareness and body language, and self-confidence building.

Youngsters can experience the art of play-based acting. Youth can go on an interactive journey and learn basic acting skills. Tweens can try their hand at the art of “clowning” around, play theatre or improv games, or learn the art of acting by studying behind the lens. Teens will be given the opportunity to ‘master’ their acting skills and prepare themselves for work, develop and perform an original sketch comedy, learn how to ROCK the audition or immerse themselves in musical theatre culminating in an on-stage performance for family and friends.

The 2015 fall session offers the following classes:
Classes for youth (ages 3 through 3rd grade) include Family Play, Acting Through Imagination, Play In A Day, and Disney Songbook.
