PRLog -- The idea of moving on your own can be a daunting task. Not only is it a lot of work, but it can also be very expensive. I mean, going through everything you own and then putting it all into boxes isn’t exactly the same as going to Disney World for a day. And then, once the boxes are packed up, you have to actually put them on the moving truck and take them to where you are going, and ultimately undo everything you just did. It is a much easier option to hire out a moving company and let them worry about all of that. However, I am here to empower you today. Not only are moving companies expensive, but so are moving supplies. Especially if you purchase them directly from the company. You, my friends, are capable of moving on your own. And you will save money while doing it. (Unless you have a broken arm or leg or something like that, then you probably aren’t very capable.)
Now I’m not trying to put moving companies out of business by this post. However, I want you to know that you have the ability to do this. If I can move 14 times during a 28 year time span, than you can too. We only had a moving company 3 of those times. That means 11 of those times, I physically packed and moved boxes myself. (Yay for me, I can subtract!) This is coming from a gal who cannot do a pull up. Or a proper push up for that matter. So people, it is time to put down the coca cola, get off the couch, put on your big boy britches, and get to work. Because if I can do it, then so can you. You will feel so accomplished by the end
and you will save money at the same time.

Throw a party as an excuse to get all of your friends together one last time, and give away things you no longer use. Ask a friend to help you load the boxes on the truck. You’d be surprised at how many people actually like helping others out. When the job is all done, you will have saved thousands of dollars, and you will have the pride of knowing you did all of that on your own. You will also have probably made a lot of great memories in the process!
