SHIP BOTTOM, N.J. - Oct. 12, 2015 - PRLog -- When the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce starts sharing its new campaign to draw 2016 summer visitors, it will feature something new - exciting, professionally captured footage of the area. Families have long come to the Long Beach Island area for shore-style dining, recreation, and traditions, but they’ve never seen it through this intense a perspective.

Working in conjunction with the the LBI Region Destination Marketing Organization, locally based Black Sails Publications and Oak Leaf Media are taking Beach Culture Redefined to the next level via a web-based video series, telling the stories of the region with stunning, high resolution, professionally shot, footage featuring underwater scenes, festivals, environment, local characters, culinary arts, watersports, aerial vantages, and wildlife.

#BeachCultureRedefined is meant for sharing and as the first phase of the project, the Sothern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce will share a short action packed video highlighting the best of the region on social media next winter and spring. That will be followed by the electrifying new web series called “Just Beneath the Surface.” These mini-documentaries, each complete with an outdoors and a cultural component, tell the profound stories of what makes the area so captivating, juxtaposing the traditional draw with the creativity that the new generation is breathing into the community. The first episodes will focus on local bay and garden-to-table food sources as well as the inspiration behind local artists, all complimented with gorgeous scenics of the LBI area. The goal is to attract a new demographic, but also to give returning visitors a better understanding of the area and appreciation for the local ecosystem in a medium that can be disseminated around the world.

"This video project helps share our local perspective globally, and creates new conversation about our destination and the talent our artisans and business provide," states Lori Pepenella Communications & DMO Director.

The first episode will be released in the early spring of 2016, when families are booking rentals and anticipation is building for summer. Thanks to the support of the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce’s marketing arm, the LBI Region Destination Marketing Organization, Black Sails will have several episodes to show potential partners and sponsors through the winter months, will the ultimate goal being to shoot a full series in the summer of 2016.
