SAN DIEGO - Aug. 25, 2015 - PRLog -- The Ken Blanchard Companies® was recently named one of the Best Places to Work in San Diego. The annual list of the Best Places to Work in San Diego was created by the San Diego Business Journal, Best Companies Group, and its sponsors Kaiser Permanente and GreenRope.

This survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best employers in San Diego benefiting the county’s economy, workforce, and businesses. The list is made up of 100 companies split into four categories: 35 small-sized companies (15–49 US employees), 35 medium-sized companies (50–249 US employees), 17 large-sized companies (250–1,999 US employees), and 13 mega-sized companies (2,000 or more US employees). Blanchard® has been named one of this year’s Best Places to Work in San Diego in the large category.

To be considered for participation, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

- Be a for-profit business, not-for-profit business, or government entity;

- Be a publicly or privately held business;

- Have a facility in San Diego County;

- Have at least 15 employees in San Diego County;

- Be in business a minimum of one year.

Companies from across the county entered the two-part survey process to determine the Best Places to Work in San Diego. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process in San Diego, analyzed the data, and determined the final rankings.

"We strive to be the kind of company that people want to work for,” said Shirley Bullard, Chief Administrative Officer of Blanchard, “a workplace where people bring their hearts and minds to work. We know that when employees feel valued, it overflows to the customer experience. Helping our clients improve leadership throughout their organizations helps them to create engaged, productive workplaces and make a difference in people’s lives. It’s what we’re passionate about, so to receive this recognition from our employees is very rewarding.”

The list-making companies were honored at an awards ceremony on August 6. A special issue of the San Diego Business Journal that profiles the companies selected as the Best Places to Work in San Diego was published on August 17.
