Healing Waterfall Publishes New Guided Meditation About Paramahansa Yogananda

SANTA FE, N.M. - Aug. 24, 2015 - PRLog -- Guided imagery author Max Highstein believes that the imagination can be a bridge between the physical world and the spiritual. So he developed his guided meditation series about meeting great spiritual figures from the past, to help build that bridge in your mind. Previous titles in the “Visiting” series include Visiting Mother Mary, Visiting Saint Francis, Visiting Angels, and the extended course, Walking With Jesus By The Sea. The latest installment is entitled Visiting Yogananda.

Yogananda was the Indian saint best known for his book, Autobiography Of A Yogi. He brought formerly secret meditation techniques from his native India to the United States in the 1930’s, beginning a great influx of Eastern philosophy and spiritual practices to the West. He also founded a thriving spiritual organization based in California that remains active today.

Visiting Yogananda takes the listener on a guided inner journey, with softly spoken narration and soft background music. After an initial relaxation process, we find ourselves walking around a beautiful lake on a warm summer afternoon. It is in this serene setting that we encounter Yogananda, walking quietly toward us in his saffron colored robe. Author Highstein uses ample descriptive and colorful imagery to help us feel enveloped by the setting, and feel connected to the saint himself.

From the lake, Yogananda teleports the listener to a sacred setting in the Himalaya’s, where we experience more of Yogananda’s spiritual presence. Here is an excerpt of the journey:
