Salon Adrian Raises $1,700 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Aug. 21, 2015 - PRLog -- On July 22, Jeri Church, Owner of Salon Adrian, spent the day volunteering to be in jail to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) by participating in the ‘MDA Lock-Up’ of South Fort Myers. On behalf of Salon Adrian, Church and loyal clients of Salon Adrian were able to raise a total of $1,700 to help fund treatments and cures for people fighting muscle diseases.

“We are always trying to find ways to give back to the community,” said Church. “Once this opportunity surfaced I couldn’t pass it up, and each member of our team at the salon supported me every step of the way.”

Children with muscular dystrophy will benefit from the fundraiser as a percentage of the monetary donations raised will go towards sending children with the disease to MDA summer camp. The camp allows the campers to connect with other children in similar life-changing situations while having the ability to learn confidence and independence. Donations will also go towards providing state-of-the-art clinics and support groups for those in need.
