Writers Resource Center Continues Its Summer Writing Workshops

New writers are encouraged to attend these sessions. All classes are being taught by members of the Writers Resource Center who are seasoned, published authors.

FAIRFIELD, Calif. - Aug. 6, 2015 - PRLog -- Members of the Writers Resource Center will continue their summer series on all aspects of writing and publishing at their next meeting.  The workshop will be held this Saturday, August 8 from 10 am to 12 noon at 1745 Enterprise Drive, Fairfield, room 113.  Admission is free for members and $10 for non-members.  Complementary refreshments will be served.  For more information please visit the group’s website at www.wrcnoca.com or call 707-290-5390.

“Attendees at the last meeting were given assignments taken from topics suggested by the Independent Book Publishing Association; we will discuss their work,” says WRC President Janie P. Bess.  “And, as always, we invite and encourage anyone who wants to know more about the craft of writing, how to find a publisher and how to market their work, once it’s published, to come to this session.”

Attendees should bring their own supplies or electronic devices and be prepared to participate in discussions and writing exercises.  Participants are encouraged to become a member of the group and will find applications at the meeting.

About the Writers Resource Center

The Writers Resource Center is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 2003 by Janie P. Bess, an author and recent recipient of a California state honors award from Assembly Member Susan Bonilla. She was also recently accepted into the National Association of Professional Women. The group, which is based in Fairfield, has members located throughout the Bay Area and the nation. It offers resources for both the aspiring and accomplished writer, including workshops and summer classes, presentations at local, regional and national conferences; and information on how to find an agent or publisher.
