BBQ RESCUES! To Help Shreveport Chef Carolyn Manning Win James Beard's Better Burger Project

SHREVEPORT, La. - July 31, 2015 - PRLog -- Chef Carolyn Manning knows how to cause a sensation. Not only is her Grilled Mushroom Burger at Shreveport's Blue Southern Comfort Foods restaurant juicy and delicious, but it is currently running in 3rd Place out of over 100 Restaurants across to country in a bid to win the prestigious Better Burger Project. The competition is sponsored by the James Beard Foundation. The Top 5 Winners are to recieve a Free Trip to New York City and an invitation to cook in the James Beard Foundation's Kitchens and present their Burgers at a special event in October.

It just so happened that Chef Mick Brown of Los Angeles was passing through Shreveport on Monday, making appearances at selected BBQ Restaurants. As the newly crowned Grill Master Champion of Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen he tries his best to visit the best BBQ Restaurants wherever he travels. Cameras were already rolling for his new show BBQ RESCUES! when Chef Carolyn announced her standing in the Better Burger Project. He immediately agreed to make her the first official subject for a Rescue.

BBQ RESQUES! is a new concept in entertainment and cooking education focused on the topic of delicious and healthier grilling. Conceived and developed by Chef Mick Brown, an award winning barbeque chef with over thirty years of experience, the multi-media based show is dedicated to educating the public on preparing delicious barbeque meals in a healthy and nutritious way. The show offers a video Youtube Channel with grilling tips and techniques, tempting recipes, as well as question and answer forum on the Blog Talk Radio Show. Podcasts are also planned to be released on iTunes in the near future.

Burger Lovers in and around Shreveport are encouraged to stop by the restaurant for a Grilled Mushroom Burger. Today, the restaurant is selling only Mushroom Burgers for $7.00 and Mushroom Sliders for $1.00.
