Beatles Freak Review blogger heads to New Orleans in search of the FAB
Jennifer Vanderslice, owner and editor of Beatles Freak Review blog, will be packing her bags for an exploratory trip to New Orleans to find all things Fab Four.
Ms. Vanderslice hopes to visit City Park Stadium (since renamed Tad Gormley Stadium) where on September 16,1964 the Fab Four played to a capacity crowd of 12,000 screaming fans. Opening acts for The Beatles that day were: The Bill Black Combo, The Exciters, Clarence 'Frogman' Henry, and Jackie DeShannon.
Trying to gauge the level of Beatleness in New Orleans, the popular blogger also has on her schedule is a variety of new and used book stores throughout New Orleans.
"The extensive research will not only help me find new and excited books to review, but it will also assist me in letting fans know if NOLA is a Fab Four friendly destination,"
Beatles Freak Reviews will continue to post the weekly reviews, which are posted on Sunday and Tuesday mornings, on schedule while in New Orleans...hopefully, with a bit of a Cajun flare!
