Raised Eyebrows Director Raises Eyebrows

Groucho Marx would probably refuse to see a movie that featured someone like him as its subject. Nevertheless, Cold Iron Pictures just announced that they are making a new movie about Groucho’s final years that’s based on BearManor Media’s Raised Eyebrows: My Years Inside Groucho’s House, a bittersweet memoir by Steve Stoliar.

Albany, GA. - Director Rob Zombie, previously known for his work in the horror genre, is developing the new film that centers on legendary comedian Groucho Marx’s complicated relationship with his controversial companion, Erin Fleming, as well as with young Stoliar, who worked as Groucho's personal secretary and archivist during the entertainer's final years. Oren Moverman will write the screenplay. Zombie will co-produce with Andy Gould, Miranda Bailey, and Amanda Marshall.

Casting of Groucho, Fleming and Stoliar is yet to be announced.
