Atlantic Pacific Marine opens Miami branch

June 19, 2015 - PRLog -- Following yet another year of unprecedented success and growth, marine engineering company Atlantic Pacific Marine has opened a new site in Fort Lauderdale in order to meet its ever-increasing workload and customer base.

Atlantic Pacific Marine (APM) is head-quartered in Cardiff (UK) but operates globally. In the past year alone, the company has completed dry dock projects and refits in the Grand Bahamas, Australia, Germany, the UK, Singapore, Italy, and of course, Miami. Its clients include Carnival Australia, Carnival UK, Princess Cruises, P&O, Wärtsilä, Crystal Cruises and Disney Cruise Line.

APM is only six years old, but has already established a strong reputation in the shipping industry for its no-nonsense integrity and honesty; top quality services, tight project management and fast turnaround.

That popularity within the marine sector and its follow-on business growth has already resulted in APM having to relocate its HQ to a bigger site in Cardiff less than twenty-four months ago. With the opening of the Fort Lauderdale site, the company looks set to go from strength to strength.

The site is in a prime location within the harbour itself, and includes fully staffed offices and 6000 sq ft of fabrication workshop. The company has been formally set-up with the US Authorities and is called Atlantic Pacific Miami. Senior APM Project Manager Mark Meredith is heading up the new operation. He and his entire family are relocating to Miami. Mark has worked in the industry for 27 years, and brings a wealth of experience to the Ft Lauderdale branch. His most recent projects in 2015 have seen him manage refits on the Caribbean Princess, the Crown Princess and the Island Princess.
