No Kidding Around - Looking for A Grant To Go Global

Lou Stratten has been a popular Young Children’s Entertainer and Educator in Los Angeles for over 17 years, performing on local television, at pre-schools, concerts, libraries, private parties, charity events, and children’s hospitals.

LOS ANGELES - June 18, 2015 - PRLog -- Lou has applied for a $100,000 Mission Main Street Grant ® from Chase.  In order to move to the next phase of consideration, she must obtain 250 votes from supporters by midnight ET on Friday June 19th, 2015.  Supporters can go to the following website to register their vote: www.missionmainstreetgrants.com/b/8833

In early 2000, “The Fretti and Lou Show®” premiered on Adelphia Cable and later moved to LA 36.  Lou along with her trademarked puppet friend, “Sir Frettirick®,” Fretti for short, sang original songs, celebrated multi-cultural diversity, and encouraged children to save the planet.  Fretti, a lion-bear, was created as a child like creature with mixed parentage to illustrate diversity and acceptance in a fun and playful way.  The show is no longer in production, but Lou plans to revive and update it as shorts on a new SCP_Shaggy Creatures Productions youtube channel.

Lou Stratten would also like to re-release her children’s book, “Hello, I’m Sir Frettirick!” into several different languages, and create more songs and music albums like her award winning self-titled CD.  All could be made available through the Internet to children across the globe.

“Fretti is an impressionable character who children can relate to and who shows children that it's okay to be different.” – Priyanka Dhar – Early Childhood Development Specialist at St. John’s Health Center

Should Lou ultimately receive the grant she says, “The funding would provide a huge stepping stone to create professional videos, music, and additional books to teach children all over the world not only their ABC’s, but the importance of acceptance, and taking care of our environment.”
