BATON ROUGE, La. - June 18, 2015 - PRLog -- Springfield Wellness Center, originator and producer of Brain Restoration Plus, a proprietary NAD-based formula for the treatment of addiction, alcoholism, and chronic and acute stress, is pleased to present the inaugural Brain Restoration Summit ( in Natchez, Mississippi, October 29 – November 1, 2015.

A gathering of international researchers, physicians, and mental health practitioners, the Brain Restoration Summit is designed to present the latest research on the proven and potential applications of NAD (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) in treating a wide range of illnesses and conditions—from addiction, anxiety, and depression to a host of degenerative diseases, including Parkinson’s, Type II diabetes, and others associated with aging.

NAD is ubiquitous in healthy cells, where it plays an essential role in many metabolic and cell regulatory processes—the full implications of which are only now emerging. The Brain Restoration Summit will bring together leading investigators into the role of NAD in cellular functioning and health—and its apparent significance to a variety of degenerative diseases and conditions. Speakers will also include pioneering physicians and mental health providers who are helping patients combat addiction, depression, post-traumatic stress, and chronic and acute anxiety through intravenous administration of NAD+.

Featured presenters include Dr. Ross Grant (, clinical associate professor in pharmacology and neuropharmacology at the University of Sydney Medical School and CEO of the Australasian Research Institute; Dr. James Paul Watson (, director of stem cell research at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center and co-founder of the University Stem Cell Center, Santa Monica, California; Dr. Richard Mestayer III (, a board-certified physician in psychiatry and neurology who directed the behavioral medicine and stress treatment units at Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans, LA, for 27 years; Dr. Stanford Owen (, founder of The Center for Health Management, specializing in internal medicine and PrescriptFit medical nutrition therapy, and a clinical investigator in more than three dozen drug and other treatment trials; Dr. John Sturges (, family practitioner who has integrated NAD into  the treatment of conditions such as obesity, Type II diabetes, migraine headaches, caffeine and alcohol withdrawal, chronic fatigue syndrome, PTSD, neurodegenerative diseases, and post-chemotherapy cognitive impairment; and Dr. Elizabeth Stuller (, American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology-certified adult and addiction psychiatrist, CEO of Stuller Resettings, LLC, and former chief of psychiatry at Baltimore Behavioral Health.

In addition to featured presentations, the Brain Restoration Summit will include two interactive panels—the first on NAD’s role in addiction, post-traumatic stress, and other mental health applications; the second on NAD’s role in diabetes, Parkinson’s, aging and other emerging applications. In addition to the speakers noted previously, panelists will include Dr. Louis Cataldie (, addictionologist; Dr. Douglas Cook (, addictionologist and board certified in addiction medicine; Dr. David Cuccia, functional medicine specialist; Paula Norris, M.Ed., LPC, FAPA ( , pioneer in administering NAD intravenously for treatment of chemical dependencies and other mental health conditions; and Dr. Kenneth Starr (, founder of the Addiction Medicine Group, of Los Osos, California, which utilizes intravenous NAD infusions in its treatment of chemical dependency.

The Brain Restoration Summit will be held at the Natchez Grand Hotel, located on the Mississippi River in Natchez, Mississippi. The oldest settlement on the entire length of the Mississippi, Natchez boasts more antebellum homes than any other city in the U.S.—many of them open for tours. Natchez is also famous for beautiful gardens, great food, and live music. Other attractions include the Grand Village of the Natchez and the Natchez Museum of African American History. Fly into any regional airport—Baton Rouge, New Orleans, or Jackson, MS—and travel historic Highway 61, the Blues Highway, to your destination. It’s a beautiful drive with rolling hills and plantations scattered along the way.

Springfield Wellness Center, presenters of the Brain Restoration Summit, are originators and producers of Brain Restoration Plus—a proprietary NAD-based formula that has proven effective in treating chemical dependencies—without debilitating cravings—as well as other mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, and chronic and acute stress,  including PTSD in combat veterans and others.
