Follow on Google News | The PR Connections Show Hosts Networking Event at CSNBy: PR Connections Businesses with Heart is a networking event that focuses on social entrepreneurship and business education. Attendees will be introduced to a variety of resources offered at the Paul Laxalt Center, such as training programs and employee assessments. Business owners and professionals will also learn how to host their own seminars and workshops at the center for free. A live broadcast of the PR Connections Show will air at 11 am on the new vegasallnetradio.com and will feature the event sponsors and vendors. Some of the Businesses with Heart vendors include Purple Cow Printing, Chef Call the Caterer, Legal Shield and Palm Mortuary. The co-hosts of the event will be Guy Dawson, Host of PR Connections and Sheryl Greenblatt, Public Relations Director for Rapid Application Development. Guy is excited to co-host the second Businesses with Hearts event. “I believe in giving back to the community. Real social entrepreneurship is driven by businesses coming together to support one another which helps our community grow,’” Dawson said. The idea for Businesses with Heart came as the result of a collaboration between Dawson and Greenblatt. Dawson wanted to celebrate the 4 year anniversary of PR Connections and Greenblatt suggested that he throw an appreciation party for his clients. The idea then morphed into a networking event that combined business with non-profit. “It's been amazing developing this idea with Guy and seeing it go from scribbles on a napkin to a living, breathing thing. I'm excited to see where this takes us next," said Greenblatt. Greenblatt chose Hearts Alive Village as the beneficiary for the events due to its charitable contributions to animals and her involvement with the organization. Located at 1750 South Rainbow Blvd. Unit #4, the mission of the non-profit is to secure loving and stable homes for dogs and cats at risk of being lost in the shelter system. The organization offers a variety of outlets to help keep pets with their owners, such as Kendalls Kupboard, a pet food pantry serving low-income families. “I've never met a more caring, honest group of individuals. I am honored to work alongside them and to dedicate my energy to saving and improving the lives of animals,” Greenblatt said. A portion of the proceeds for Businesses with Heart will be donated to Hearts Alive Village. They will also be accepting donations of pet-related items at the event. Attendees will receive an educational presentation on business development by Donald Lanier, a successful real estate investor and the owner of Berkshire Hathaway’s Platinum Elite Group.
