Learning Reources To Host Alex's Lemonade Stand to Fight Kids' Cancer for Alex's Lemonade Days

VERNON HILLS, Ill. - June 8, 2015 - PRLog -- In an effort to join the battle against childhood cancer, Learning Resources will host its third annual Alex’s Lemonade Stand for Alex’s Lemonade Days on Thursday, June 11^th from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The stand will be located in the south parking lot of the company’s headquarters, at 380 N. Fairway Drive, Vernon Hills, IL 60061.

Learning Resources’ team members will be selling refreshing lemonade and a variety of sweet treats with all donations going to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF). While enjoying a cup of lemonade and freshly baked goods, you can enter the raffle to win a Pretend & Play® Calculator Cash Register—the same one featured in a Volvo/ALSF advertisement. This product feature is a special tie for Learning Resources to ALSF.

Founded by Alex Scott (1996-2004) in 2004, Alex’s Lemonade Days is a three-day national event that grew out of Alex's front yard lemonade stand. During Alex’s Lemonade Days, dedicated volunteers host thousands of Alex's Lemonade Stands across the country, raising over $1 million for childhood cancer research. June 2015 will mark the 12th Annual Lemonade Days, and will continue Alex’s mission to raise money one cup of lemonade at a time, renewing her idea that any contributor, at any age, can make a difference. Alex’s Lemonade Days 2015 is set for June 12, 13 and 14.
