Six Bends Harley-Davidson® Competes for Top Honors in Harley-Davidson's 'Custom Kings' Contest

FORT MYERS, Fla. - June 4, 2015 - PRLog -- Six Bends Harley-Davidson is gearing up to compete against Harley-Davidson dealers across the United States for the title of top custom bike builder in a winner-takes-all contest based on customizing the latest addition to the Harley collection – the Street™ 750.

The ‘Custom Kings Customization’ contest, which is taking place between April and September 2015, involves forming a team of four from each participating authorized Harley-Davidson dealership to customize a motorcycle without exceeding $15,000, including parts and accessories. The Six Bends Custom Kings team participants are Gunnar Gibson, Alex Holmes, Bryan Gregoricka and Chryssi Venegas. Their custom bike will be on display for the public at the upcoming Summerland tour on June 11 at Top Rocker Field at Six Bends.

“This contest has really given our store a chance to show our customers what we can do with a blank canvas and an affordable budget,” said Gil Gibson, General Manger of Six Bends Harley-Davidson. “The Street 750 is really the perfect motorcycle to show young adults that cool can be affordable.”

The contest is a process involving months of planning, building and communication among team members. Six Bends Harley-Davidson will first compete against other entries in its own district. Only one dealer in each of the 50 districts will claim a district title on July 27. Those winners will then compete within the seven Harley-Davidson markets. One team in each market will be chosen on August 10 to showcase their custom bike at the 2015 Annual Dealer meeting, where the final voting will take place. Attendees will vote to determine who will be crowned the first ever U.S. Custom King National Champion on August 26. The winning bike with then be revealed at the Harley-Davidson^® Museum September 5 – 6.
