Sisterhood in Sports, by Sports Psychologist Dr. Joan Steidinger Wins 4 Book Awards

SAN FRANCISCO - June 3, 2015 - PRLog -- Joan Steidinger, Ph.D., a California licensed psychologist, sports psychologist, and author of Sisterhood in Sports: How Female Athletes Collaborate and Compete (Rowman and Littlefield / October 2014 / ISBN 978-1-4422-3033-0) announced today that her breakout book has won four high-profile awards given to top titles from independent publishers.

The awards are:  2015 International Book Award Winner in Sports, 2014 National Indie Excellence® Book Award Winner in Sports, the 2015 Beverly Hills Book Awards® Winner in Sports, and the Foreword Reviews INDIEFAB Book of the Year Awards Finalist in Women's Issues.

The nonfiction book is Steidinger’s well-researched look at the mind and brain strengths common to women athletes.
