Are robots good or bad? Is atomic reaction good or bad? Is dark chocolate good or bad? Is Single Malt good or bad? Are women good or bad? And men, are they good or bad?

It depends would be the right answer. Robots can be good or bad. I war robot might be bad, depending who initiates the war and and whose side you are standing. I cop robot might give you a traffic ticket - bad.

Robots are neutral. They are made of metal, plastic, aluminium and precious metals, cirtuits, processors and other various materials. The have a humanlike skin so we are not afraid of them and they take in a humanlike voice too.

They are strong, they never get tired, they fight no strike, they don't disgress and they do never disagree with us. There will be no couple fights, no nos when we need attention or arousal, no mentionning how ugly we look in early mornings at 92, when we can't sleep anymore and they will cook us a full English breakfast - or a simple black and sugarless coffee if we prefer.

Robots are the future. And as often in the past - for example when the first trains where introduced scientists and doctors where afraid that if a train reaches 40 km per hour the people would explode their inner organs -some people are afraid of them.

There are possible reasons to be afraid and other reasons to be happy for robots to arrive. It depends on how they are programmed, it depends on how in the near future they will develop and it depends also on our treatment and respect and of our assurance of their integrity and well being.

But the day will come when your friends are sick of you, your family finds you an old stup.d monster and everybody leaves you completely alone, there will be a day not so far away in the future that you will be very happy to welcome your personal robot at home.
