Follow on Google News | Law Associate Christopher Floss Admitted to Practice Before U.S. Tax CourtAssociate Attorney Christopher Floss of Chicago law firm Hoogendoorn & Talbot was recently admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court.

The U.S. Tax Court is established by Congress under the Constitution and specializes in hearing cases relating to disputes over the federal income tax. Taxpayers can litigate federal income tax matters in other legal settings outside of the Court; however the Tax Court is the sole forum where taxpayers can do so without having first paid the contended tax. Floss started his law career in 2013 and was admitted to the Illinois bar in October 2013. He focuses on planning, transactional work and tax related matters, and the majority of this work is dedicated to various tax-related issues. Throughout his career, Floss has worked with individuals, families, and small to midsize businesses to start non-profits; In addition to being admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court, Attorney Floss is scheduled to complete his LL.M (Tax) in Spring of 2015 from John Marshall Law School.
